I think Shakespeare is good. I was worried it fell behind after OpenCode, but then I tried implementing subagents and it actually made the performance worse. The current setup is actually perfect for the use case, and it keeps getting better as the models improve. The only thing I'd change is lean more heavily into ngit / nsite as the main way, so there's less to configure.

I also wish I could also make the inference free, or at least decentralized. Routstr comes to mind, but the onboarding ramp for Cashu is still too hard currently.

Recently I implemented a full bash shell to replace the hacky shell-like tool it had before. Before you know it there will be a full Linux distro baked into Shakespeare written in pure client-side JS.

Shakespeare is really decent for simple websites, perhaps even more complex webapps too. Liked how it knows nostr better than anything else. Shakespeare is really nice for vibe coding. Opencode is still better for agentic engineering though.
