Using LaTeX for talks & teaching only for many years now. Has its challenges. Particularly in envs full of Windows devotees. 😊
Looked at Typst and found myself in lock-in situation. Converting complex slide sets and layouts seems hard. (Impossible with the free version which I tried, actually.) For fear of getting into a vendor lock-in - once I start paying for the essential features which seem essential to me - I rather stick with LaTeX/beamer.
