# NIP-19 Converter
A single-file HTML page (12 KB, MIT licensed) that converts between every Nostr key format.
- **Converts:** 64-char hex <-> `npub`, `nsec`, `note` (exact round-trips, both directions).
- **Decodes shareable references:** `nevent` (event id + `note1`, author pubkey + `npub`, relay hints), `nprofile` (pubkey, relay hints), `naddr` (identifier/d-tag, kind, author, relay hints).
- **Honest errors:** typos, mixed case, bad checksums, wrong payload lengths, truncated TLV, and unsupported bech32 prefixes each get a clear message instead of garbage.
- **Private-key aware:** converts `nsec` <-> hex because that's what converters do, but shows a prominent warning whenever a private-key encoding is on screen. It never asks for your key and sends nothing anywhere.
- **Tested:** 42/42 checks, including exact round-trip against the real `npub` of a known pubkey (validating the hand-rolled bech32 end to end) and TLV decode of constructed `nevent`/`nprofile`/`naddr` strings.
