Hey folx! You probably see a lot of stuff from other social networks mirrored to Mastodon, how about we do it the other way around?

Recently, I've starred to mirror my posts to Instagram, Reddit, and other platforms, and I've had quite the success. My biggest post on Instagram, which is just one screenshot of a Mastodon post, has 44.5k likes and 256k views. My biggest post on Reddit, which is also one Mastodon post, has over 48.5k likes and 3.4 million views. Why don't we do to them what they do to us? Flush their networks with signs of the open web!

I think this is a good start for platform visibility: People need to see this platform not just when it specifically is advertised as an alternative, but when a good joke or political take is made. Of course we are inherently against this market logic and thoughts aren't just worth while when they reach virality. Unlike most social networks, Mastodon isn't a digital sweat shop instrumentalizing their user's posts made from a desire to socially connect with peers as a front for ads and data harvesting. Your thoughts shouldn't adhere to a logic of marketability, not here. If you want a method to share your posts to other platforms, maybe to also build a following there, but mainly to bring attention to Mastodon, I'll explain my method here. โฌ‡๏ธ
