The Bitcoin community has a really difficult time with acknowledging problems, because they are so bullish. This leads to stagnation of londstanding issues because they have convinced themselves the problem is already solved by repeating certain phrases. I literally think Bitcoin is revolutionary, but Jesus Christ people, we have to admit there is a problem before we can solve them.

Yeah, sometimes the community gives off cultish vibes.

It's called cognitive dissonance.

I wonder if the reply spam has managed to just about beat 'not enough content, too many bitcoin slogans' as the main complaint of Nostr? 🤔

That sounds like a lot of work and risky too with uncertain outcomes. If you had the skills and moxie to deal with things at that level you might as well leave the community and head out into the real world might you not.

"Bitcoin community" is such a misrepresentation. It doesn't encompass the full reality. Most of it is just influencers trying to pump their bags. The real builders spend their time building, away from from the noise of the crowds. So perhaps they're not so loud, but I bet they are addressing the rea...

Bitcoin lacks the properties of p2p digital cash. * Transactions are not anonymous. * Transactions are slow. * Transactions are expensive. * Core developers neutered bitcoin so that regular people need "layer 2" solutions (a trusted third party?) provided by companies that employ said developers. ...
