Scott Ritter (born 1961) is a former U.S. Marine Corps intelligence officer who served as a United Nations weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991–1998 with the UN Special Commission (UNSCOM). He became widely known for publicly disputing U.S. claims about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction prior to the 2003 Iraq War.
