Network effect is a proximate cause, not an ultimate cause. It begs the question. Why does the network form around this particular thing?

The value is in what can't be copied: the builders, the miners, the node operators, the holders who refused to sell through multiple crashes. You can copy the invention. You can't copy the history and the community.
