It really feels to me like that's coming from an extremely individualistic perspective. "If I haven't been able to imagine it, it isn't possible."

Ok, but who else's perspectives have you been taking in? What new knowledge did you seek out to see if your personal evaluation of something based on your own intuition is certain to be correct? Are you capable of running all the simulations in your head? How do they compare to other people's real-world experiences?
