⚡️🚗 ICYMI - Volkswagen has blocked its app from working on phones running custom Android ROMs like GrapheneOS, LineageOS, and /e/OS.

According to Volkswagen, the app now depends on Google’s Play Integrity API and supports only certified Android devices. Users with custom ROMs are logged out and cannot sign back in, losing access to connected car features like remote locking, climate control, charging management, and vehicle status.

Volkswagen says these operating systems are outside its supported environment because the app relies on certified Android security standards.
