This only proves that network effect is basically all that matters, so you can't say that email is undefeated because it is technically superior or better designed or anything like that.

You can still sing the praises of email for having network effect, but I don't see the point of cheering for a fact of nature. It's like claiming that elephants are the biggest animals, and shaming all the other animals for not being big enough.
