Instead of doing it randomly, maybe I should think about doing a handful of heart-to-heart notes on Nostr. Like when I’m annoyed by something, I put it in my Nostr category and write about it here. All my articles, books, interviews, and tweets can talk about my macro stuff, and here I can talk about human stuff. That is so far how I find myself using it.

People need a reason to be on Nostr. For some power users, they have good technical discussions here. For others, the inverse network effect can be hard. Plenty of people join, look around, and leave.

So I wonder, what content can I post only on Nostr that would be useful for helping Nostr adoption? The more I think about it, there are some thoughts I would share to a smaller group on Nostr and not to 600k followers on Twitter.

Even though notes can become kind of immortalized, sharing to a smaller and more selected group feels better. And if it’s a tech protocol I want to succeed, what can I put here to encourage people to come? Should I post my same macro stuff here as an afterthought? Or should I use it to post unique content that somehow feels better expressed here, for now? Seems like that’s a better option.

No matter what you do with your content on nostr, just make sure you feel free to do it. The thoughtfulness of your macro content surely will bring a number of people to nostr, but what matters most is that you are free enough to write whatever note you want. Twitter incentivized you to post macro...

Cross posting your macro stuff here is a great idea - but then just having more engaging dialogue on Nostr instead of Twitter maybe?

i think you and other people commenting bring up a good point: use nostr for anything that would get you banned or is regulated on other platforms like language or length/size of a post. since nostr is about decentralization and censorship resistance, it would be an interesting way to use it to hi...

I think that’s a great way to approach it. I used to switch over to Twitter to check out macro content from you and others (your’s has always been a favorite). For the past month or so, I started learning how to build on #nostr and I don’t even think to look at Twitter anymore. I’ll always...

I suspect you're uniquely talented to answer the question that Robert Breedlove can never answer. Also, from a finance point of view what does modern-day innovation and investment look like when all final settlement can only be done with a hard asset rather than elastic money?
VelvetBlue_art · 138w
Be yourself here. Great idea .

Plus can’t you delete stuff now?

Feels to me that unique content is best. Twitter is for Lyn the analyst and the brand. Nostr is for Lyn the person, behind the scenes. Like talking to a friend.
Mazeman · 138w
I’d run with that. NOSTR needs to move beyond a bunch of people getting together to talk about… NOSTR. Seems too one dimensional now.

This was such a beautiful heartfelt note that humanises the plight, we are all knees deep in trying to change. Seeing the human face, of struggle and success is always a beacon for those of us that look to YOU nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a as the lighthouse i...

Well, you could share or seek advice on any of your passions in life. I am sure there is more then „only“ Makro. It’s a more encouraging engagement imho you can expect here. Best case would be to leave the bird app and double down on freedom tech. 😀

Well, kind of both. If you want to attract people that follow you elsewhere you have to provide them something they would want, meaning it should be the same or at least close to what they signed up for elsewhere. However if they can get that thing elsewhere there is no reason to come here. Off of...

I’m also trying to figure out how to best participate and contribute to nostr… The majority of social network experiences seem to end up in a place where most users have a very high consume / post ratio. But perhaps here we will see different follow and follower patterns emerge, since there is ...

How do people find your content. You cant play algos so hashtags, maybe?

In my case, I follow your Twitter posts. I don’t have a Twitter account but I have Nostr So you’ll be doing me a favor if you post at least the same here. Not sure how many out there are in the same situation as me.
Systemling32 · 138w
Whatever you feel like posting here. The personal notes seem like a good approach. Only thing I would not try is cross-posting content from Twitter because the valuable conversations in the comments will be split between the platforms.
Dutchyboy · 138w
Hi Lyn, as a person that looks around once in a while, and leave nostr again the content has to be additional to Twitter (for me). Not a copy of Twitter, for now. So afterthoughts sounds good. Or frontrunning Twitter could be an option. Maybe it can help shape your thoughts, when a small group can r...

Difficult question, Lyn… actually, I think that people will start using seriously #Nostr only when they realize that on the centralized social networks they are not really free because something bad happens to them… I do not think it’s about the network effect… I think it’s more about the ...

I see a lot of Bitcoiners influencers who only use Nostr to post links to new podcasts or promote what they have got going on. To be honest I think that's doing it wrong. I think the best way to Promote Nostr is just to do what you have been doing which is being real. Your macro stuff is always g...

Hi Lyn, I think posting the 'human stuff' here is a great idea - perhaps I'm biased though since I subscribe to your newsletter etc. Btw, thank you for enriching my understanding.

Why don’t you post only the unique contents here? It will make a case for non-Nostriches on Twitter to become a Nostrich and enjoy its fruits
21e6 · 138w
Post here what you think matters most to you, as always, it's being authentic that matters. A platform for true authenticity might just be the Nostr vibe.

Also if you (just casually) scroll through your zap wallet and say "imagine this on orders of magnitude bigger scale, permissionless...". Wouldn't that persuade at least part of macrotwit to post here too?

Unique, impulsive, reactive, sometimes bit cryptic and self serving, a-note-to-self type burst. Maybe emotional, birds 🦅, clouds ⛅️, wind 💨, mountains 🏔️, whatever.

nostr:npub1a2cww4kn9wqte4ry70vyfwqyqvpswksna27rtxd8vty6c74era8sdcw83a I think a lot of people will agree that what they want is a Twitter-like experience without the Twitter-like shadow-banning, censorship, and fake (it seems, at times) freedom of speech. The problem is, when you have a large foll...

I think more nostr nest events need to take place. Events like that are very sticky and can cause a great network effect.

I'm all for more general life notes and random thoughts. That gives everyone a chance to jump into the discussion and we can get a better sense of who each other are.

No reason not to post both here...My 2 cents.

I desperately want to use nostr more, but I’ve struggled to find content that is as diverse as i can find on twitter. Don’t get me wrong, i love the high concentration of btc everything here, but I’d use nostr more if there was a broader base of topics. You sharing authentic ideas that aren’...

I think your personal content is great. It’s the more human side of Lyn and shares your brilliance with us on a more intimate and real level, which I relate to. Anything macro that you feel to share as well, is always appreciated but why be bound to it?
