lol. i think if you go back a few levels in this discussion i mention the fact that once the chain splits there will be slower blocks because of less miners on the bip-110 chain.

but assuming no miners defect away from team spam, i mean core, once that difficulty adjustment happens the difficulty will drop a lot. and then, we have another interesting scenario. the rest of the miners have the opportunity to win cheap blocks on the bip-110 chain. so long as they mine on bip-110 compliant blocks.

that is also going to be a bit of a sting to the spamchain because lower difficulty means they can mine a bit on the other side low key without losing a lot. so the risk of it drops for them in terms of joules spent on bip-110 at that point. there is two sides to motivation for this also, but the ideological "muh spam" argument isn't a very strong one. they will do it because they are leaning towards "maybe spamchain will lose"
