Re: home mining, has anyone come across a good solution for 1-3 KW of mining/heating?

Setup is an oversized solar array, producing excess electricity (about $800 stored up)

The local grid pays 0.18c per KWh and charges 0.24c).

What do you want to use the heat for? With some modifications an old(er) S19J (Pro) can be turned into a quiet livingroom miner. My setup delivers around $0.08 / kWh. Sounds like NZ prices! Will be interested in any results. I’ve on and off thought about this, but mainly come to the conclusion that you are better with a heat pump or wood fire and use the solar savings to buy more sats rather than mine them etc. But of course there is the adding to the decent...
