CORRECT: ColdCard is to blame. Signing devices *should* be able to provide secure seeds. ColdCard victims are NOT to blame; they did exactly what they were told to do.

Also, be careful uncritically doing what you are told to do. Do your own research. Verify advice for yourself.

Rolling dice or flipping coins, etc may feel ridiculous at first... but only until you understand what it is actually accomplishing. It's just too damn easy not to do for yourself - even if for use in a multi-sig setup. The trade-off of not otherwise trusting some device to tell you what your seed words will be ought to be a no-brainer (especially now, post-ColdCard fiasco).

The culture around self-custody needs to change: less emphasis on making it easily accessible to everyone; more emphasis on the trade-offs that should be understandable by anyone.
