Sooo it seems like the prereq to "vibe code" an actually useful software product is...

1. Pay $200/month or whatever for "latest Claude"
2. Already be a software architect, or at least have a strong functional understanding of modern software engineering process

$200 plus extra tokens for sure. I'd put it at like $1k+ per small app/website project, unvetted

Exactly. This is making engineers more efficient, not substituting for them. Whether this leads to less jobs (you don't need so many) or more jobs (because of increased demand for new kinds of products) is still up in the air IMO.
