@nprofile1q... I don't know where you are (pdx = Portland OR?) but that amount sounds way inflated. Unless you're installing about 50kW?

In New Zealand, where prices tend to go a bit crazy because of thin competition, I had the main installer in town keep larding things on until he got up to NZ$70,000.

At that point, I was like, "Yeah, right, fine" and found somebody else who did it for about NZ$20,000. Did it right too. No problems 4 years later.
