@nprofile1q... Erm, I don't think this is the election to carefully consider parties' stated policies and vote accordingly.
That's because the big boyz they'd team up with are not necessarily who they say they are.
1) Yes, Labour is a giant waffle, but does make vague attempts not to be toxic. (Doesn't stop them from _being_ toxic on occasion, like structuring the new housing intiatives so that they'll benefit only deep-pocketed developers).
2) On the other side, National no longer has anything to do with being conservative. They (and ACT) are currently just kleptocrats intent on stripmining the country and the taxpayers for short term profit. (Eg landlords' tax reduction passed within weeks of Luxon taking office, and putting NZ in a fiscal hole which can only be plugged by taking money from NHS or something.)
Between those two, the next election is an existential choice: stop the stripmining or let it go on.
TOP, unfortunately, doesn't see it that way. They would work with National if it put them in power. That makes them a nonstarter in this election. (They do have some interesting ideas. That's not what matters.)
My point (and I do have one 😆 ) is that it's not a good idea to vote based on your estimate of who will win. It's too important to stop National & Co. Vote for whoever you like who you can be sure will do that.
