We are on our second laser printer and long ago had an ink jet. I insisted on an all-in-one so we could scan, and I have never regretted a decision more. The touchscreen menu often does not receive the touch command, too many options for functions we never need, and the user manual is only online, and the size of War & Peace. Toner cartridges are the cost of a car note, unless you go rogue and get a pirate cartridge, which causes printers to seize up and get even weirder, and voids the warranty. KISS rule is king.
