@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... I guess my point was that everyone just talks about solar, solar, solar, but it seems to me that nobody considers inverter strength or battery capacity.

It's not their fault. I didn't know either before I got my first inverter about 7 years ago now (my world, that feels like a lifetime ago). And at that point I didn't even have solar. It was just to provide battery backup because of our load shedding.

I only added solar years later, but that inverter really wasn't geared up for solar because it could only handle like 50v PV in, so we ended up running 6 panels in parallel, which generated a lot of heat and melted the little solar DB box we'd put in.

Eventually that old inverter packed up, and then we saved for a bit and bought the one we currently have. But I think I need a stronger one before putting those last remaining plugs over. :)
