How do you #Bluesky people LIVE with a character limit of 300 per post?! I can't get by with fewer than 1000. My current Mastodon instance gives me 5000, and even vanilla Mastodon gives 500.

I'm just mentioning an opinion. Stating a preference, which boils down to my personal taste. And there's no accounting for taste. And the customer is always right, in matters of taste.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... So the *default* docx format is less than half the size of the *default* odt format (because the default is the only thing 90%+ of people will ever use). That's all I was trying to say, and I've proved it.

The second is a screenshot of my file explorer, showing that document in odt and docx format, along with the file sizes. Note the odt is more than double the size of the docx. For a document containing no special formatting, and fewer than 200 words.

I found this out when someone sent me a docx yesterday, and I made changes to it, and then saved it as an odt before sending it back to him (because I want to start exposing more people to odt, and MS Word opens those fine).
I was shocked at the file size difference. So as an experiment, I saved my edits as a docx too, and confirmed it: the docx was like 20kb smaller than the odt. :/

So I've been using PowerShell as my default profile in Windows Terminal for over a year now. I've given it a good, proper shot. And it's not terrible, but every time I try to grep or touch something, or run ls -l expecting it to give me a long list of files and directories, and it either tells me that the command isn't supported, or does something unexpected, I sigh and fire up bash anyway.
I've made bash my default profile in Windows Terminal. Farewell, PowerShell. You're still there if I need you, but that probably won't be very often. :-D
