High blood sugar is much more dangerous than high cholesterol.

@Ken Berry, MD been on the lion diet (only ruminant meat) for a few weeks now and getting told off because of the high cholesterol. should i take the warnings seriously?

Get a thyroid panel. High cholesterol often indicates low thyroid function. TSH should be 0.3-1 with adequate T3 and low antibodies. Increasing thyroid function will increase cholesterol utilization, leaving less cholesterol hanging around in the blood.
