Sometimes a PO box is necessary. When you put in your address on an online order, put your street address but include the P.o.box. then the post office will deliver to the box and ignore the street ad...

FedEx apparently also doesn't deliver in my area, so we're pretty limited on options. If we can fit the item in an Amazon pickup box, we'll probably use one of those next time we order something from Amazon. That way we'll know for sure where it will arrive, and we can pick it up when we want to instead of when needing to catch the post office open hours.
