I would think most psychological issues in military happen when service members are given orders which oppose their personally held values and which is perceived as morally wrong.
My friends who got touched in the head in places like Iraq and Afghanistan got that way because of what was done to civilians.
But idk so don't take my word on this for gospel 🤷♀️
