Crusoe Energy says it has contracts for nearly 5 gigawatts of data center capacity, including the flagship site of OpenAI and Oracle's Stargate project in Texas.

The first two Stargate buildings are operational and six more are under construction for a total of 1.2 gigawatts. Microsoft is building a 900 MW extension on the same campus.

At the same time, Crusoe paused a 1.8 GW data center in Cheyenne, Wyoming "at the request of our customer." The project, developed with Blackstone-backed Tallgrass, was set to be powered by 900 MW of behind-the-meter fuel cells from Bloom Energy plus grid power. Satellite images show land clearing had just begun before the pause.

Crusoe's total pipeline, including contracts, sites in discussion, and advanced development, is over 40 gigawatts. For context, a single gigawatt powers roughly 750,000 U.S. homes.
