Internet search is getting very bad.

This is not even the classic comment about how Google Search has become worse. I think it's just that the internet is much bigger now and the "global view" paradigm is not helping.

One issue I'm hitting all the time now: I know a thing exists, I know its name, but search engines can't find it because there are way too many things with that same name showing up first.

Sometimes it's not a lot of things, it's just one thing, but that thing has hundreds of webpages, videos, news articles associated with it and they all show up first.

Maybe they don't even show up first, maybe they're not even more popular (ignore the fact that popularity being a criteria is already fundamentally broken) than the thing I searched for, but just by their massive number they come mixed with the results I actually care about and still clutter everything.

Giving more context in the search doesn't work as it gets ignored always, and maybe this is the part that could be improved.

By the way: AI isn't fixing it because AI still relies on classic search engines.
