The worst part for me was googling your name + nostr to find. The in app search sucks but that may be unfixable due to some federated aspect of nostr, idk I know nothing about the tech im just a dumb ...
Nostr isn't federated, it is decentralized. Federated protocols are like Email or Mastodon/Pleroma/Activitypub — there’s generally a domain name at the end of them.
Yes, search is heavily sharded, and it is terrible. It’s better than it was a couple years ago, but I generally am only as of last year considering Nostr decent enough to recommend using to people.
