Citrini Research’s “THE 2028 GLOBAL INTELLIGENCE CRISIS” is literally just a rerun of “AI-2027.”
While Citrini’s peice is framed as “doomerist” and AI-2027 is a framed more positively - both are ultimately Olympic-level exercises in masturbatory Magical Realism over purely imagined capabilities of AI.
Go and read (or have your clawbot summarize, to save your self the “cognitive load” of thinking, of course…) both and notice what is entirely missing. That would be ANY critical assessment of underlaying cost. These pieces, which apparently “sway global markets” now are predicated on consumer end AI services magically being free, for everyone, forever.
This is the foundational premise of the entire AI narrative that has taken over the global economy - cost doesn’t matter, or even further, THERE IS NO COST.
When the bill comes due, when VC fluff and private credit runs out, this is going to be an SPECTACULAR disaster.
