I'm glad I overdressed for winter camping. I saw a lot of people who only wore jeans and sneakers with a t shirt and thin coat to keep themselves warm. I loaned out several pairs of gloves and a few spare balaclavas. The boy and I were nice and toasty in the tent even town into the teens, but people who thought their 0° sleeping bag alone was sufficient ended up shivering all night.
