Anybody have an autistic opinion about the best meat smoker?

I'm thinking about making an investment, mainly for brisket, but I might expand from there.

Depends on if you are in it for the art. I did that then got a green mountain Daniel Boon pellet smoker. . . Easy

kamado type are the best. can do low and slow, crank it up for searing, pizza, most versatile bbq Ive ever had. also have a santa maria for quick grilling. but a good ceramic kamado holds heat son you'll use very little fuel. Also close vents when you're done and ut will still be warm in the mornin...

also, brisket is boring. so many other cuts you can do in a lot less time and play with. use different woods and temperatures. Al Frugoni's YT channel is my favorite for bbq inspiration

I sure love the Original PK 360 Grill I got a few years ago. No reliance on grid power. Charcoal and wood only. Compact and portable for use as a hibachi for outings. Doubles as a smoker and a grill. I’ve salt cured and hung a couple of pork belly slabs for bacon and then smoked them in this one. ...

Get that smoker and then start cooking dinner in the morning, it's a genre.

Pellet smokers are forgiving for beginners but offset smokers teach you the craft. What matters more is how much space you have to babysit it.

What really matters is what you're using for smoke.

Brisket, like real Texas style brisket, can only be done in a stick burner, an offset. Do yourself a favor and get one. Like a mill scale. You have bit of a learning curve. And you will love it. Kettle barbeque. Couple methods to make it work but personal favourite is the snake method. Extremely versatile barbeque also so you only need 1
