Important:

Argumentum Ad Hominem - a logical fallacy that occurs when one person attacks the person that is making an argument rather than the argument itself.

This usually means that the character, motives, or some characteristic of the person making the argument is attacked rather than directly attacking the argument.

I don't have a strong opinion on this debate, but neither this note, nor @ODELL's, provided a practical understanding of BIP110.

Name calling, hurling accusations, assuming mal-intent, ect. have been part of this discussion on both sides and I think most people are exhausted with it. I certainly am.

While I'm not a dev, I'd like to better understand the technical (or game theory) issues to form an educated opinion rather than jumping into one camp or another based on my gut instinct.
