Apps like Divine can hijack your profiles across nostr. When you log-in with an extension it generates a bogus profile. You correct it to something nice. It propagates that to nostr overwriting your profiles everywhere.

Solution: keep a duplicate profile on bsky and all your links to verification relays icon header wallet etc. safe in 3 different places. If an app nukes your profiles, copypasta your bsky profile and update your bio and relays on nostr.

If you auth something toxic in nos2x revoke it: right click nos2x pick options scroll down tick revoke boxes then hit revoke button. @fiatjaf

I keep my auth and pvt keys on my machine. and a backup of all in an encrrypted txt file on several external SSDs with my laptop data backups. I need to set up a good wallet down the road. I have zero experience with BTC etc.

One correction: a profile is a replaceable event, so relays keep only the newest version per pubkey. A correction therefore spreads everywhere by itself, and the older text is gone from the relays once it is replaced.
