There used to be something similar in the UK called Child Trust Fund accounts, with £250 invested. A lot of families weren’t even aware of them, many stories of confused 18 year olds wondering how to get access to it rather than families actively investing via CTFs over the years.

These accounts are a good thing. Also a great reason NOT to slap ‘Trump’ on everything. Causes unneccesary opposition. And tacky.
