@woodland creature i think that trajectory is because it has already been seized and molded into that form by people with power. i can be generous and attribute it to incompetence and subconscious aims rather than deliberate acts, but nonetheless it is already co-opted and I don't think it will be our salvation.

i was doing more thinking and i really don't see the federal or state governments ever abdicating their power through peaceful or altruistic means, which only leaves catastrophic external means (or at least partially catastrophic means) which I think explains why I really think that we are headed for a catastrophic event that i should be prepared for.

but I don't know how to prepare, do I just make myself as light and mobile as possible to hopefully escape as quickly as possible? do I try to get ahead of the curve and make preparations to be as far away as possible? or do i try to find a way to dig in and make myself as resilient as possible? i don't know what i should be doing, and I guess I will never know until it's in hindsight in which it might already be too late.

i feel a lot of the ai conversation is a distraction like everything else to give extra buffer to preparations that only the elites know about, or maybe they don't and are just grabbing at whatever they can get. i really do think something is coming down the pipe though
