No CRQC ever. Ceiling is 1,609 qbits. Paper is wildly diplomatic, but conclusion is it would require computing below threshold of Planck. Good luck with that.
Note this is almost exactly the threshol...
We have to remove the double spend contradiction from the assumptions of time and superpostion. Quantum mechanics is fiat at the base level by assumption. Makes sense there is a limit.
Needing to compute sub-Planck is equivalent to need to and attempting to compute sub-block on Bitcoin L1. The mempool is not an ontologically real state wrt ledger. Despite the utxo existing in a probabilistic superposed state (signed tx or txs, but unspent until measured/mined), it is only real with respect to is last classical, or unspent state. The mempool isn’t real, unmined transactions aren’t real until mined.
Superposition cannot be logically defined unless it is at the scale of 1 quantum of Planck time, 1 singular Planck scale block of time. Physics has never shown or proven the definition of superposition holds at the Planck scale with a Planck scale measurement. Superposed states cannot be logically real for a classical state to be produced, and for conservation of energy to be valid. Contradiction is a violation of conservation.
Our economics already proved this with double spent claims on money, or energy 😉
The modern definition is a logical contradiction to what Bitcoin demonstrates. Binary, classical or non contradictory states can only be produced with a quantized boundary of time, the causal boundary of measurement. Physics has to falsify Bitcoin for their models and theories of quantum to remain logically valid.
Bitcoiners have to pick a side:
Bitcoin or quantum, you can’t double spend your logic.
