Joe Taylor modes are not the same thing as digital voice. I'm a huge fan of the Joe Taylor stuff but digital voice is idiotic.

The repeaters are dead! I know! Let's turn each repeater into 80 distinct TGs so we really never EVER get an answer when we throw our callsign out!

There is definitely a contingent of old fart hams who are hell bent on destroying the hobby so they are the last generation. Just listening to the local repeaters while working makes me want to strangle some of these guys. Some brand new call sign calls for a radio check with full quieting and gets dead air, then a regular calls 1 minute later and gets 5 responses.
