One of the pressing nostr challenges currently is giving voice to new users who are not spammers. It's kind of demotivating joining as a new user and shouting into the void. You really have to make an effort to be noticed, and even then it's not guaranteed anyone will follow you.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

starter packs will help but maybe 🤔 just being able to sign up and not have to worry about setting relays or a wallet because a normal user isn’t going to be bothered with that. They just want to start filling out their bio and start posting. Just my thoughts.

In the two years I’ve been here, I’ve really felt the emptiness that prevails here. Nostr feels like an echo chamber for a handful of top dogs. Any ideas? “Follow Friday” on Twitter and the hashtag #FF come to mind...

I am tinkering with the idea of better (semantic) search, semantic follows. If we give people better what they want, they will be better at finding new voices with the topics they are interested in. I anyway want to find/address content better for my taste.
