Listening to the radio about the Project Jupiter Datacenter project in Doña Ana County, New Mexico. Water use is in question.
Wondering if we're setting up to re-run the Milagro Beanfield War. The project was approved using an arm twist of the county commissioners, "approve the project now or we'll leave and take our money away".
The water use story isn't very clear. Are there too many claims among agriculture, keeping the Rio Grande flowing, and an existing settlement requiring NM to retire water rights.
