@nprofile1q... Some Oracle person published an op-ed in one of our local papers (we're in northern NM, nowhere near Doña Ana) claiming that the water is recirculated, and total use is comparable to 6 households.

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS THE FULL STORY and of course I don't trust the source, but if they really do recirculate, maybe water use isn't that big a problem.
Power use, of course, is still a problem so I'm tentatively still opposed. Not that folks up here have a say.
