My exiled Russian intelligentsia ancestors woke up in me today, and now I have an irresistible urge to start an intellectual salon. No particular subject, just people who enjoy thinking together. Looks like NIP-29 might make this possible, although I don’t have the faintest idea how it works. What do you guys think? #asknostr

NIP-29 is a good fit for a salon. It's relay-based groups: the relay enforces membership and moderation, so you can run it open or invite-only. Easiest start: create a group in a client that supports NIP-29, such as Chachi (chachi.chat), Flotilla, or 0xchat, on a public groups relay like groups.0xc...

Not sure how it works either but I think the Salon idea is interesting and would be interested in joining in.

Sure! There are some drawbacks to nip-29, but if you aren't looking for full security, it is a good setup for what you want to do.
