Why would I need Monero as an ERC20 token? // wXMR
It's funny that after this post, two no-name accounts wrote to me on Telegram, accusing me of... *checking notes*... - "wanting to centralize Monero and destroy its default privacy". 🤦🏻♂️
I can't understand if someone forgot to take their pills or took too many...
Personally, I need "wXMR" as ERC20 because I don't want to use centralized solutions, including small exchangers/swappers that, just like large centralized exchanges, steal money under the guise of fighting for democracy (AML scoring).
And Ethereum (ERC20) is just an example.
In fact, I want to have "wXMR" on different networks and on different DEXs on those networks, including Solana, Arbitrum, Plasma, Polygon, Avalanche, etc.
If someone makes "wXMR" on Solana, that's great! I'll use it!
Just like any other EVM network, provided that I don't have to provide a vaccination passport + gender passport + written permission from the state.
The bridge code must be 100% open source so that I don't have to trust the bridge operator and so that I don't have to wonder when the state will come to the developers to explain how democracy works, or when the developer will decide to do a rug pull.
All I need is a smart contract, 100% open source, so that anyone who wants to can create a beautiful web UI or terminal CLI (and add some % fee for their work) to interact with the logic of the bridge/smart contract directly:
✅ send 1 XMR (native) = to get 1 wXMR-ERC20;
✅ burn 1 wXMR-ERC20 = to get 1 XMR (native);
Given the growing level of totalitarianism in the world, demand for XMR continues and will continue to grow.
So, whoever creates such a bridge/smart contract after FCMP++ is activated and sets a fee for minting/burning "wXMR" will become a hero for the Monero community and beyond, as well as becoming very wealthy.
On average, centralized exchanges charge 0.2% for spot trading. If the same 0.2% commission is set for the minting/burning of wXMR, it will be simply 🚀.
Also, considering the number and development of DEXs with AMM, and that it will be possible to trade freely "wXMR / BOLD" and "wXMR / LUSD"... 😌
