According to The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, the United Arab Emirates has been conducting strikes against Iran. The report states that these operations included attacks on Iran’s refinery facilities on Lavan Island shortly after the announcement of the nominal ceasefire.
The Journal also reports that the United States was aware of the UAE’s involvement and quietly welcomed the participation of the UAE and potentially other Gulf states in offensive actions against Iran.
