When I had a car with that, I considered removing the alarm. While camping on BLM land, I just had the seatbelt clasped behind the seat.

When my cousin was little I let him sit in the front seat, he was so excited. Setting off, the seat belt alarm starts beeping, I decided to mess with him: "OHMYGAWD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! That wouldn't even be so bad. 🥴 The new models start beeping extremely persistently if you're just 5 km/h over the speed limit, everything is recorded and reported to the manufacturers and insurance companies, and the microphone records everything. It's a privacy nightmare!

My wife bought a seat belt extension. Problem solved. Her GMC Yukon won't even drive if you don't first buckle up. (I think it let's you drive after like 60 seconds if you don't buckle up but what if zombies were chasing you?)
