Played the demo for this SAO game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2244210/Echoes_of_Aincrad/ It's honestly not bad but it's not $70 good. Unless it has some kind of crazy endgame, but even then...

@:paimon_smug: SnugSmug:klee_smug: I also decided to play this demo so I ought to throw out some thoughts.

Two major sins for a demo like this, no character creation and the fact it was just the tutorial. "Save data carries over" is meaningless when the highest difficulty on offer is normal and the game comes out in a full month, might want that tutorial when the game actually comes out. Certainly not going to remember the exact details of it by then.

Personally though I think the game is fun, mainly because it appeals to my sense of bullshit. Not worth $70 absolutely but they gave me a jump button and that's great. Running around with a knife and slowly realizing that the knife was not the optimal choice for a game about swords was exactly what I needed. Sometimes it's fun to get some jank anime game made by a literal no-name studio with moderate production value. It does at least feel nice. Though the biggest make or break detail for me will be how far they let character creation go, if lolis aren't allowed that'll be extremely retarded.

Maybe the full game is the launch of the game and you actually start...
