A year from now, you'll be saying the exact same thing about Monero and praising some other piece of shit. Monero and Lightning solve specific problems, and those problems are different. There's no need to look for a silver bullet. It doesn't exist.

I’m hoping between Monero and Lightning. Lightning works well with Nostr. Monero works well with privacy. But even at that, a Lightning Node with VPN works well too.

The other day I sent you, what, $5 worth of XMR on chain? And it cost me one penny to send. Private by default -- with no fancy techy tricks to enhance privacy. There's not much not to love about it.
