I had a life realization during Covid that I was done extending politeness to anyone who didn’t display politeness
One example: I had a heavy shopping cart packed to the brim with groceries during Covid and the store had marked the floor in a confusing manner for social distancing reasons (retarded).
At check out an employee came up to me and was extremely rude about how I was not standing on the right arrow or whatever…. so I shoved the cart over to him and said “here, I don’t need this anymore” he switched up immediately like “uhm you don’t want to purchase these items?” Suddenly his tone had switched from rude to accommodating. Probably after realizing he would be the one responsible for putting each item back one by one and I was just like “nah” and walked out lol 😂
You don’t owe the impolite any politeness in return.
