I don't overly care, but I am surprised with the amount of Trump simping. People want him to pump their stacks. They see him as good for Bitcoin, even though they will also say they don't like politicians.

You would have preferred us to elect… A globalist, somebody who would attempt to destroy even more of our freedoms? The candidate that did NOT promise to free Ross? The party that spent the last 4 years attacking my family’s savings? The party that put Gensler in office, the guy who works fo...

Bitcoin is the opposite of the state.
a1denvalu3 · 73w
The difference is now the state(s) are bending the knee to Bitcoin not vice versa.

Nah I'm good. Just Bitcoin thanks.

except there's no unifying of Bitcoin and state happening. Those are just words without meaning. Bitcoin remains outside government control, but will hopefully co-opt government, at game theory dictates.

I know what you are saying but let them come. We are faster & brighter, let's show them the meaning of competition.

Very good. I was hoping for a meme like this to stop the nonsense of the last days. Congrats.

I think if Bitcoin succeeded, which is has, it was inevitable corporations and nations would buy it too. They aren't going to altruistically leave the good money all to the people.

Spicy thought experiment, if money is truly and finally separated from state, what is left? Wouldn't a new version of governance emerge that is based on the Bitcoin standard? Wouldn't that then be unifying Bitcoin and State? In other words, isn't Drake pointing at what we actually do want as the end...

People just love being pandered to and duped. Bitcoiners are no exception.
Silberengel · 73w
I thought the idea was that Bitcoin was money that the state doesn't invent (i.e. it's not "per fiat"), not money that they state doesn't use. Eventually everyone and everything will use Bitcoin. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Everyone will get the Bitcoin they deserve / ask for. Some would even surrender their stack so that the Gov can create a "strategic Bitcoin reserve" ( 🤢 ) from their money.

If it's not for everyone it's failed. The state can do as they please with it. Just like us. If they curtail our rights... That's a different problem.

I don’t know the answer but wasn’t the point of the system to optimize collaboration between people that don’t trust or like each other? I get the concern and I can’t help but see it as a step we would’ve encountered anyway. But maybe Satoshi was right about the attention of wikileaks be...

unify /yoo͞′nə-fī″/ transitive verb To cause to be one I don't listen to crazy people much, but I haven't heard anyone suggest that bitcoin and government should unify. Secondly, if they did, that's not WE, that's they or them. We, as far as I've seen, haven't become anything new.
