I added a pull request to meshcore-open that if merged would add a new radio preset called "USA/Canada (compliant)" and rename the current one as "USA/Canada (legacy)" with the end goal of removing the legacy preset in a later version. I know that the legacy preset does violate the FCC rules, but at least there is a compliant setting and we are working on a transition.
