According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet, Abu Fakher, commander of Hamas’ Yibna Battalion within the Rafah Brigade, has been killed.

The IDF and Shin Bet said Fakher had been leading efforts to rebuild the battalion and had overseen Hamas’ weapons smuggling operations into the Gaza Strip for the past two decades.
