Petition to who, exactly?
If it was to the government, I would say this: if you're asking for reduced *taxes* on fuel, I think that's a great idea. Taxes are thinly veiled theft and a distortion of the free market. If you're asking for actual price controls, I think that's an incredibly bad idea (see: the Soviet Union).
If you're petitioning the free market, well, good luck with that.
With regards to leaving the legacy social media system, I don't think it can be done without significant loss of what you've built over there. The question is, how much is this new, decentralized system worth to you?
