When does one start trimming your bonsai back? I think this one has grown rather spindly and I've gotten some good bends in it but I want to trim it back pretty significantly because I don't necessarily like how tall it is and want to start working on it branching more.

Time of year is crucial. Now it's too late in the season to start the branching you're looking for. I'm going to follow the advice i was given at a bonsai expo. Trim in the spring, can't remember before or after the first flush. Then after it fills out after trimming, then feed/fertilize. Feeding ea...

woah, nice. I don't know much about em, but plants in general, i'd say, it got way too tall already and you don't wanna kill it, you may just need to loop it around, with 3d printed struts and lop off more towards the top so it can become a curlyQueue, but with more branching, haha!
